STENCIL BREAKDOWN
Underexposed
Establish proper exposure times using the Chromaline Exposure Guide.
Continuously monitor exposures with the Chromaline Exposure Guide to compensate for any changes.
Stencil is not thoroughly dry before exposure
Incomplete drying prevents complete cross-linking. Follow ideal drying conditions. Ideal conditions include an enclosed room or area with unlit or properly filtered lighting, 70°F to 100°F, less than 50% humidity and circulated, filtered air.
Stencil is not thoroughly dry before printing
Completely dry stencil before printing. Water particles remaining in the stencil cause softening. This allows inks to more easily penetrate and break down the stencil.

Incompatible ink
Refer to product technical data sheet on ink compatibility.
Sensitizer (DZ & DC only)
Photo initiator was not added.
If the photo initiator, Diazo Sensitizer Powder, was exposed to extreme heat or light, it may become deactivated.
Dissolved photo initiator solution cannot be stored for later use.
Old emulsion
Always note sensitized date on the product label. Refer to product technical data sheet for sensitized pot life.
